Impact in this Role
Your role as the Manufacturing Engineer, Electrical, will be to act as a primary internal subject matter expert for electrical engineering.  At Fictiv, we believe in creating the world’s premier platform for hardware manufacturing, and you’ll be playing a critical role in making that happen.
You’ll use your degree in electrical engineering, background in having brought a mass-produced product to market, and expertise with PCB design, fabrication, and assembly to help you act as a trusted advisor to our customers. You’ll assist our sales team by guiding our customers to the best solutions given their design, budget, quality, and timeline requirements.
With their requirements in mind, you’ll provide customers DFX feedback on their designs to meet their functionality, testing, timeline, and budget requirements. You’ll provide customer quotes leveraging your technical expertise, our pricing software (which you’ll have a hand in building), and our manufacturing partner network.
You’ll act as a gate to ensure we have gathered all of the requirements necessary to manufacture parts precisely to our customers’ requirements. And once orders have been placed, you’ll collaborate closely with our project management team to ensure we deliver on our customers expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing

    • Sales Support - You’ll use your expertise and background Rigid, Rigid-flex, and Flex PCB design, fabrication, and assembly to help support sales on phone calls and be a trusted technical advisor with prospective and existing customers.
    • Release Package Review – Analyze PCB schematics, PCBA BOMs, and other customer release package data to determine scope of work, manufacturing requirements, feasibility for manufacturing, and minimum lead time
    • DFM Feedback – Provides DFM feedback to customers, such as recommended design alterations for cost reduction
    • Quoting – Combine your analysis with Fictiv’s software recommendations and feedback from our Manufacturing Partners to generate quotes for customers
    • NPI Program Support – Act as on-site technical support for customer NPI builds
    • Automation Feedback – Provide input on how best to leverage our software team to improve the efficiency with which we can evaluate PCB release packages and develop quoting software to automate DFM feedback and quoting

    • Must be fluent in both Mandarin and English
