CAD/EDA Engineer at Prophesee

We are looking for a passionate individual who demonstrates initiative, takes ownership, respects commitments, and exhibits a high level of conviction and spirit of openness. The candidate will provide support for digital, analog and mixed-signal IC design teams. You will be responsible for support of layout, schematic and design designers, tool customizations, environment design setups, Linux support and testing of new tools and flows. You will contribute in the success of our innovative vision sensors. More specifically you will be responsible to maintain and develop the complete design environment and framework to bring our silicon to life. Your responsibilities will also include continuously improvements of design environment and flows to improve design engineer efficiency.

JOB DETAILS

  • Support and resolve design CAD/EDA environment needs and issues.
  • Monitor/Evaluate/Recommend CAD/EDA tool releases and fixes.
  • Work directly with the design community to develop solutions that improve quality and efficiency.
  • Develop, implement and support Analog, Digital and Mixed Signal tool flow, methodology and documentation.
  • Eventually, work with several design sites to ensure standardization and centralization of the design environment, creating re-use capability, and developing information sharing mechanisms and participating in cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Support of Linux system infrastructure including hardware, operating systems and services.
  • Support Virtuoso Layout and schematic software and release flows based on revision control system
  • Follow up and install foundry PDKs and libraries.
  • Install and maintain CAD/EDA tools and licenses.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Education and qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in physics, electrical engineering or computer science with a fundamental understanding of EDA/semiconductor work including analog circuit design.
  • 2+ years of experience.
  • Knowledge of IC design technology, process and methodology
  • Design Data Management platforms (SOS, GIT)
  • Cadence EDA tools and flow
  • Foundry PDKs and libraries
  • Linux system administration (Redhat)
  • Customer service and support • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are required.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Mentor and Synopsys EDA tools and flow
  • Strong logical troubleshooting
  • Eager to learn and solve problems in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Familiarity with collaboration and issue tracking systems (JIRA,…)

Personal skills:

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills. Resilient against support pressure. This person must work on a cross-functional level with other engineers in a team environment. Must be pragmatic and self-motivated to complete a task autonomously, showing a “Can Do” attitude.

Language skills: English is mandatory as it is the working language of the company. French is significant asset for living in Paris.
