About the Role

Do you love connecting with prospective clients and evangelizing a product? Our Business Development Team is the first point of contact for many of our future customers and provides significant value to our national sales team by driving interest in our platform.

As a Business Development Associate, you’ll enjoy the benefits of a comprehensive training program, under skilled leadership, to build product knowledge and best practices alongside passionate teammates. Experience as a BDA is highly valuable as one grows a career in cyber security sales and it is broadly applicable across any number of disciplines.

SecurityScorecard welcomes applicants who are recent grads starting a career and professionals who desire to pivot their careers towards cyber security. In addition to training, professional development, and a comprehensive suite of benefits and perks, BDAs are rewarded with a base salary and additional earnings potential based on achievement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Connect and engage with decision makers inside target organizations
  • Educate prospective customers about SecurityScorecard’s product and value proposition with the goal of qualifying leads and booking meetings for the sales team
  • Maintain Salesforce database with an eye towards data integrity and accuracy
  • Research organizations that can benefit from SecurityScorecard's software solutions with the goal of identifying decision-makers
  • Master business development tools like sales enablement software (Salesforce)
  • Partner with Marketing and Channel teams on relevant campaigns
  • Attend occasional events to represent SecurityScorecard

 

 

Requirements

  • You are a self starter and motivated by hitting your goals and exceeding expectations
  • You are a confident communicator, comfortable engaging with C-level executives and decision makers inside organizations
  • Receptive to constructive feedback and ask for coaching when needed
  • Identify as a lifelong learner, always hungry to expand your horizons and continuously improve your results
  • Work with urgency and have a positive attitude with a “no challenge is too great” mentality
