Supply Chain Manager at Savioke

Savioke is building a fleet of autonomous robots that are revolutionizing the way teams deliver small items. We are excited to be building robots that are doing useful work and are touching people’s lives on a daily basis.  Our robots have completed more than 500,000 deliveries, have driven hundreds of kilometers autonomously, and have delighted everyone who sees them.
As the Supply Chain Manager at Savioke, you will be the primary point of contact between Savioke and the network of vendors responsible for supplying all of the parts that go into our robots. You will be working closely with our engineering team and those of our vendors to help design and modify parts to be easily manufactured via scalable processes.  You'll also work with our production and business teams to ensure that part costs, lead times, and production schedules are always kept in sync and are communicated clearly to all team members.  In addition to the immediate Savioke team, you’ll have direct access to work with learn from our network of world-class supply chain and engineering advisers.
A solid foundation in engineering (preferably mechanical, with strong hands-on ability and a thorough understanding of DFM) is required for this job.  Good communication and interpersonal skills are also essential, since you will be communicating both internally with the entire Savioke team and externally with multiple vendors.

    • Continue implementation of supply chain strategy for Relay scale up.
    • Act as a technical interface between Savioke R&D groups and suppliers.
    • Travel to current and potential future suppliers, with frequent telecom or in-person visits to key supply base.
    • Continue implementation and adaptation of inventory plan, keeping in mind working capital requirements, sales projections, and part lead times.
    • Engage with key suppliers to meet cost, quality and technical goals, with current and future products in mind.  Develop cost, quality, and technical road maps to share with suppliers as well as internal development and manufacturing teams.
    •   Ensure that key specifications and technical requirements are well communicated and agreed upon with the supply base.
    • PPAP experience for high technology components highly desirable.
    • Experience managing an MRP / Supply Chain system a plus.


    • BS in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related technical field.
    • Hands-on experience working within a complex electro-mechanical systems, with an emphasis on mechanical components, assemblies, and production systems.
    • Experience engaging, qualifying and managing CM / EMS partners.
    • Proven project management skills, with ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.
    • Understanding of mass production operations and constraints.
    • Demonstrated experience in achieving target costs in high tech industry
    • Experience developing supply agreements, IP agreements and supply chain business processes.
