Business Process Analyst - NYC at Movable Ink
New York City, NY, US

The Business Process Analyst (BA) will work cross-functionally across the organization to document and measure key metrics across the business, including performing analysis for internal stakeholders and working towards improving the existing operations.


  • Responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement, and then working with stakeholders and the project manager on executing those improvements throughout the existing business operations
  • Work across Engineering, Sales, Client Experience, Marketing, and Product teams to enable broader organizational alignment and standardization
  • Perform analysis for specific systems, processes, and business solutions
  • Monitor key metrics, root causes/issues, and identify solutions
  • Document meetings with various stakeholders and produce useful follow-up reports
  • Gather, document, and analyze business needs and requirements
  • Work with the business to identify opportunities for improvement in current business operations and processes
  • Test and QA new tools/systems, and create system documentation and user manuals
  • Identify and scope high impact projects
  • Turn complex data-sets into a more meaningful format easily understood by internal stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate systems and processes
    Perform user acceptance testing for newly established tools and processes

Requirements / General Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or appropriate field of study (MBA helpful)
  • Clear communicator with excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally to understand and translate business requirements
  • Comfortable learning new tools, taking initiative, and making recommendations
  • Strong collaboration skills and can-do attitude; flexible/adaptable to change
  • Excellent critical thinking skills; is able to break down ambiguous problems into concrete, manageable components and think through optimal solutions
  • Strong facilitation and documentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio is a plus)
  • Familiar with SQL
