Technical Recruiter at Bossa Nova Robotics

At Bossa Nova we create service robots for the global retail industry. Our robots’ mission is to make large scale stores run efficiently by automating the collection and analysis of on-shelf inventory data. We drive autonomously through aisles, navigating safely among customers and store associates. If we were a self- driving car we’d be operating at level 5 autonomy.

Position: Technical Recruiter

Location: Pittsburgh, PA


The Technical Recruiter, reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition is responsible for delivering all facets of recruiting success primarily within Bossa Nova's Software Engineering Team and will sit in the Pittsburgh location.  You will play a key role in helping to shape the organization's future by helping to identify and attract the very best talent.


  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers to understand niche software requirements and strategize pipeline generation efforts.
  • Source candidates through creative and strategic sourcing methods including; web/social sourcing,  research, referrals, Boolean search strings, x-raying, LinkedIn and other creative ways to fill your pipeline
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees
  • Strive to be an active member in the local technical communities to build a network for sourcing and referrals - including, but not limited to, attending local Pittsburgh technology meetups and conferences
  • Develop a pipeline of qualified candidates in advance of need
  • Manage inbound applicants, screening and selection
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to prioritize and succeed in a highly ambiguous environment with competing demands
  • Maintain all pertinent applicant and interview data in the ATS (JazzHR)
  • Provide an excellent candidate experience 


  • BA/BS degree
  • Minimum of 4+ years of relevant technical recruiting experience in an agency or corporate setting
  • Demonstrated experience sourcing Software Engineers, Cloud Engineers, SRE, DevOps and Software Test Engineers
  • Knowledge of Google business apps (mail, sheets, docs), Slack, and other comms/productivity tools.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Successful track record of providing and placing direct sourced candidates
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to take initiative
  • Excellent work ethic, integrity, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with advanced souring techniques, chrome extensions, sourcing tools, and productivity tools
