Lead Sales Trainer at Carbon Black

As part of the Carbon Black Go-to-Market Operations organization, the Lead Sales Trainer is responsible for the evolving vision and tactical execution of a global, fully-integrated sales training and development program.  


Reporting to the Sr. Director of Sales and Partner Enablement, you will support, enhance and maintain our high performance culture by developing a sales training implementation strategy based on the thoughtful assessment, identification and prioritization of training requirements for both Carbon Black and the Partners sales organization.


By using your unique blend of sales acumen, collaborative leadership, and project management skills you will align with key stakeholders and implement best-in-class learning practices that have a direct impact on our revenue growth!

What You’ll Do

  • Design, execute, and evaluate the effectiveness of sales training initiatives for the global sales team to include sales certification on the Carbon Black product suite as well as a comprehensive onboarding and orientation program for all new sales hires
  • Partner with key leaders and subject matter experts to conduct needs assessments in order to proactively identify performance gaps and recommend training solutions
  • Develop ad hoc curriculum relevant to critical business initiatives as needed
  • Promote a self-serve/Train-the-Trainer mentality and shared accountability for learning programs, leveraging internal colleagues as needed

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in an inside and/or field sales position, of which, a minimum of 3 years’ experience should be in a sales training and development capacity
  • Demonstrated experience building repeatable, scalable corporate learning and development strategy
  • Exceptional project and program management skills: prioritization and follow-through on goals, plans, and projects
  • Detailed knowledge of sales training tools and potential vendor partnerships
  • Willing and able to travel as needed

Bonus Points for

  • Previous experience working in SaaS and/or security software industry
  • Competent in Platform Sales
