Principal Analyst, Sales Operations at Venafi

The Opportunity:

As a Principal Analyst at Venafi, you’ll be part of an extremely motivated, dedicated, and experienced team that contributes directly and significantly to Sales Operations.

We’re looking for inherently curious, intelligent, out-of-the-box thinkers. The Principal Analyst, Sales Operations reports to the Director of Sales Operations.


Key Result Areas:

  • Manage and analyze sales data from internal and external sources for advanced interpretation and predictive analytics to drive sales/marketing strategy and actions and to inform other functional areas as needed
    • Includes field productivity analyses and the sales funnel contribution in lead to revenue modeling and analyses
    • Work with marketing operations to advance lead to revenue modeling from lead through opportunity evolution to closed won status
  • Sales forecasting for goal setting, using past data and trending indicators
  • Report sales results
  • Working with other team members, define sales process steps to improve conversions, shorten sales cycles, and maximize wins
  • Working with other functional areas as applicable, define sales territories (e.g. named account dispersion)
  • Key team player in defining and refining structured sales and operational processes for efficiency (e.g. ARR calculations for sales reporting, forecast criteria/steps, order fulfillment, etc.)
  • Participate as a key player in sales and overall business operations planning
  • Primary team lead in gathering and defining business requirements associated with special sales operations related projects, including advancement of substantive operational/business processes in SFDC and other relevant systems managed by Sales Ops; work with responsible team players (e.g. Lead SFDC Administrator) to implement.
  • System administration for Aviso
  • These responsibilities require effective communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to collaborate productively within the Sales Operations team and across functions, and strong analytical skills.


Minimum Skills and Experience required:

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
  • Time management/Prioritization skills
  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Understanding of financial forecast and modeling concepts
