Digital Marketing Specialist at SilkRoad

The Digital Marketing touches several different areas of Digital Marketing activities and interfaces with many different organizations inside and outside the company – and even around the globe! It offers learning, additional responsibilities if desired, and the opportunity to grow in a positive team environment. The Digital Marketing Specialist will be instrumental in driving lead generation activities across our marketing channels.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Draft email copy, determine list segmentations, build out email blasts, landing pages, and external blast materials – all in support of SilkRoad.com lead generation programs such as: the SilkRoad Book Club, the SilkRoad Webinar series, eBook offerings, video offerings, and more;
  • Be a valuable contributor to the next phase of SilkRoad’s Digital Marketing approach by staying on top of lead generation best practices and new technologies, copywriting best practices focused on driving SEO, PPC and website conversion, by recommending new content offerings that can be tested by SilkRoad, investigating new marketing channels, and always striving to improve not only their personal work, but the work of the organization and company;
  • Effective partnership with SilkRoad’s global Sales and Marketing teams to train and support our Regional team members on our Marketo Lead Management System and educate them on lead generation and Marketing program best practices;
  • Support Sales initiatives to generate interest in their territories and close deals. This includes territory-driven email blasts, custom reports, lead processing from events and webinars, and effective communication of corporate Marketing activities;
  • Effectively communicate optimization and testing activities and findings in oral and written formats through monthly reporting and meetings;
  • Support the execution, monitoring, management, optimization and reporting of Digital Marketing campaigns and the web site, primarily working with SEO and PPC strategies but may also include banner and email advertising initiatives;
  • Ensure all tracking for Google Analytics and Salesforce is in place for each marketing campaign and continually strive to track ROI and improve baseline performance.

Required Skills

  • Results driven professional with the ability to work well and deliver under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficient knowledge and experience with Digital Marketing initiatives including Marketo, marketing automation, Salesforce.com, and customer relationship management;
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering quarter over quarter success metrics gains through online acquisition and retention efforts;
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills;
  • Passionate team member, committed to team success;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; detail oriented; creative problem solver with strong analytical abilities;
  • Proficient with computer software and MS Office applications, including Word, Power Point and Excel to aid with reporting and documentation of campaign results.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or related.
  • Minimum 3 years in Digital Marketing;
  • Experience with any of the following: Marketo, Salesforce.com, sales enablement activities, Marketing programs and lead generation, SEM/SEO/PPC, Google Analytics, website and campaign copywriting;
  • Experience with working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and other basic web development languages (advanced web development and coding skills a plus, but not required);
  • Direct hands-on experience writing for, developing and managing campaign materials for online marketing programs (banner ad graphics, email blasts, sales guides, landing pages, website changes).
