Customer Relationship Specialist at Synthego

Synthego is looking for a customer savvy Customer Relationship Specialist (CRS) to join our US sales team.  The CRS owns the sales prospecting, lead qualification process, and manages customer relationships in the assigned territory.  The role will work closely with the other members in the territory to maximize the revenue potential. The CRS must have a solid scientific background in order to establish credibility with target customers, strong writing skills, but also have a focus on enabling sales. We’re looking for a detail oriented, smart and energetic person who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What You'll Do

    • Work closely with our current customers to drive up our reorder rates and seek new revenue opportunities within existing accounts. You will also develop and manage inbound and outbound prospecting activities to generate sales qualified leads for the other members in your territory.
    • Research and understanding of your customers application areas and how Synthego can assist and add value to their research
    • Managing and tracking of run rate business in existing accounts. Includes crEDIT burn down and refills, etc. 
    • Identifying opportunities to increase revenue within your existing customer base
    • Tracking projects that are in progress to ensure success.  Includes flagging issues and communicating as needed
    • Resolve invoicing, shipping and other customer related issues as needed
    • Primary research to identify relevant companies and contacts in potential new high value accounts, and new contacts in existing high value accounts
    • Develop and execute effective, application focused Buyer Focused Prospecting (BFP) sequences
    • Lead relationship management to the point of SQL assignment to AS and TAM/SAM.   Outreach by phone, email and social media to contacts in outbound prospecting lists as well as newly identified contacts from inbound leads  (MQL to SQL)
    • Effective communication of Synthego’s value proposition in each technical vertical and customer segment
    • Preparation and scheduling of seminars and Lunch & Learns
    • Prepare quotations; help track standard quotes in Buckaneer
    • Tracking of lead quality and quantity in KPI’s and key metrics
    • Daily CRM updates to capture and track all sales related activities
    • Monitor the chat function on the Synthego website

About You

    • Strong technical knowledge in molecular/cell biology, CRISPR knowledge preferred
    • Technical degree in molecular/cell biology or related field. BS required, MS/PhD is a plus
    • Minimum of 2 years of technical laboratory experience, core facility experience, or experience in a commercial setting, in molecular/cell biology strongly preferred
    • Strong sales oriented focus—2-3 years minimum in a commercial or customer facing sales role preferred
    • Excellent writing skills – creative, focused and persuasive
    • Excellent customer relations and a strong work ethic
    • Strong computer skills (MS OFFICE and GOOGLE applications)
