Lead Development Rep Contractor (LDR) at Cloudian
San Mateo, CA, US

The Lead Development Rep Contractor (LDR) is responsible for building sales pipeline by transitioning lead inquiries into qualified leads for the inside sales team. LDRs are the first line of contact in the sales process and must be able to engage prospects with appropriate qualifying questions and conversations to drive interest in Cloudian products, and work closely with the entire marketing team to support demand creation across all channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with prospects via telephone and email (cold call, cold email)
  • Research company accounts with an eye on identification of who are the key titles and how to generate interest and develop accounts to stimulate opportunity
  • Qualify and disseminate leads to the appropriate ISR and educate as necessary about the qualification
  • Successfully manage and overcome prospect objections
  • Become a trusted resource and develop superior relationships with marketing teams and product marketing
  • Become a trusted resource and develop superior relationships with internal and external sales teams
  • Update lead scoring and prospect interaction in Salesforce.com to ensure efficient lead management
  • Consistently achieve Sales Accepted Lead (SAL) quotas
  • Provide closed-loop feedback to ensure continuous process optimization

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity and comfortable with making 40+ cold calls/hour with a great phone presence
  • A self-starter with a track record of successful, credible lead follow-up and sales development at multiple executive levels within an organization; familiarity with marketing automation space a plus.

  • Proven track record achieving measurable inside sales goals in an automated sales/marketing environment where accurate data entry and management of lead data in a CRM system was required
  • Ability to work as a team player in a high-energy team environment; team player
  • Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, strong writing skills
  • Sales training and salesforce.com experience a plus
  • BS or BA is a plus

This is a 40 hour a week contract position that will work in the San Mateo, CA office and report to the Sr. Demand Gen Manager.
